Mel has always had a passion for art, even when she was a child. This natural talented was nurtured through several programs throughout the city of Pittsburgh, including attending the Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts. During her sophomore year, Mel made the switch from a visual artist to a technician. In her time there, Mel experienced work with dozens of professional companies, as well as doing student-design.

Mel attended the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University until 2009. She is currently focusing on art direction, though does not narrow herself to one particular duty. Currently, Mel is working as a freelance designer.
